MONG: Bags of art made with SEAQUAL® YARN
Sweden
2024
The idea of MONG is to support independent artists and present art for the people by making art to hang on your shoulder instead of your wall.

Every MONG bag is unique, individually numbered and signed. Depending on the artist the bag can be beautiful, provocative, questioning authority and starting conversation.
MONG translates to ”look” and is a walking gallery of bags made by artists for public display and use. Their bags are made from SEAQUAL YARN. They produce in Portugal to make sure they do not use abuse labours.
Who is behind MONG project?
Jacob Nordzell is the creator and owner of MONG. Originally, his root is from the street art scene in Stockholm. His style of art has always been creative, fun and different. He likes to think MONG is more about the idea of spreading paintings in new ways and places, than an actual brand. They do not follow the trends of fashion, instead they want to create a valuable and limited piece of art to hang on your shoulder, that will last with time and not affect the environment in a bad way.
The “Bags of Art Collection” is a serie of bags made in collaboration with independent artists.
The first artist to collaborate with them is post expressionist painter and friend Warawut Intorn. They number and sign every bag, keeping them in small quantities. This first bags are oversized to highlight the artwork and the SEAQUAL fabric makes them water repellent and strong. They also added a purple lining made in 100% recycled polyester, colored shoulder straps and handles, a golden brass zipper from Japan and two inner pockets (one that is removable). All in all to make it practical in your daily life whenever you go shopping, to the beach, having a picknick or traveling.
